Wow, major props to Krug then! I was surprised when I saw who Stewart was fighting and thought it was a d!ck move by Stewart to go with Krug. I heard that Jack Edwards really gave it to Stewart on the NESN broadcast, wonder if he'll apologize now a la Denis Potvin.

It's JaCK Edwards, a clown in a play by play man's clothes. That's his rhetoric, the irony is if Stewart was a B & Krug a Duck he would have gone w the over the top "Oh Stewart is MANHANDLING Krug, I mean this should be illegal in most states the beating Krug is taking!"

I would love if they flipped broadcasts. Goucher and Beers for TV. Brick and who gives a (frank) on the radio.

TV has been horrible since Fred Cusik. R.I.P.

Edwards is still more entertaining then most play by play clowns. He is a kook, and he says a lot of dumb things, but he's pretty good at his job, so give credit where credit is due. Also I would hate to be Andy Brickley... he is a saint for sitting next to Jack for X-amount of years and simply laughing off his stupidity.

That was a pretty good game last night... I don't think the score is reflective of the overall play. The B's were playing from behind most of the game, but they really took it to the Ducks in the 3rd. If they could have just gotten a bounce, it would have been a totally different game... That Pastrnak steal and breakaway, the Krug post shot, Kemp not being able to lift Spooner's pass... they had all sorts of great chances, they just couldn't get one to go.

Overall I don't think it was a bad effort for 3 games in 4 nights, and playing a good team (even though they haven't shown it much this year) on long rest.

I'm not worried about Krug at all... his goal totals may be down a little from last year, but he's still on pace with his assists. Don't really see how he's "not been having a good year." He's arguably the teams best overall D-Man.

That fight with Stewart was probably a little bit of frustration from Krug boiling over.

May I interest you in a slightly used Kindl? But if on pace for close to 40pts is not a good year I don't know what to tell you.

That's okay... I can't say I disagree much with the pro wrestling sentiment...

To be honest I hated Jack for years... until I got the GameCenter package and started to watch other team's broadcasts a few seasons ago... then I started to appreciate him for what he was... a kooky hype-man that loves his job. No, he doesn't always say the smartest things... but Brickley is there to correct him (for example on the Trotman (I think it was Trotman?) hit on Perron that could have easily been interference).

He's like the happy awkward Dad at a party that tries to make a joke that only he thinks is hilarious, and makes everyone else feel weird. But I'd rather that guy then the disinterested Dad, who sits in the corner by himself, being miserable, wishing he never met his wife and had kids... which is essentially what most other announcers sound like.

exactly! Glen Healy & Pierre McGuire annoy me to no end for different reasons.

Jack is a fan, just like the dude in Buffalo (who's awesome) and Pittsburg (who's awesome)

apples and oranges. you're comparing Edwards to two guys between the benches.

i want my announcers to be hockey guys. not fans of the team. or at least tone it down to a professional level. like glove said, Dave Goucher is wasted on the radio. he's 100X the broadcaster Edwards is.

Oh I can. He would give Michael Cole Diabeetus with this move:

Also Brickley used to be much better and once in awhile get national gigs. I'm pretty he sure just huffs gold spray paint before a broadcast now. That's the level that Edwards is on.

Goucher's "Get the duck boats ready" call still brings me to back to that time and makes me slightly chocked up every time I hear it. Now imagine Jack Edwards having a juvenile sugar/cocaine rush all over it.

Makes Jerry the Burger King Lawler sound like (frank)ing Costiglione.

I think we're missing each other here... I said "I can't disagree with the pro wrestling sentiment," meaning that I completely agree his calls sound like pro-wrestling at times.

But after the game, Krug that said the fight was his idea given his displeasure with what Stewart was doing around the Boston net,

Makes the Boston color commentary guys seems like even bigger D bags.

They should at least open their eyes to see who dropped their gloves first to instigate the fight, before commenting on how pathetic it was of Stewart.
